Tim Hudson held the Rays to just four hits in 7 2/3 scoreless innings Sunday, improving to 3-1 in Atlanta’s 2-0 victory.

The win was the 184th of Hudson’s career. Hudson struck out three and walked two in completing at least seven innings of work for the third straight start. Hudson got knocked around a bit in his first two starts off the disabled list this season, but is now the owner of a 3.03 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 19/9 K/BB ratio through 32 2/3 frames. He’ll get the Nats at home on Friday.

Tim Hudson pitched well in a win over the Reds on Tuesday, allowing just two runs on nine hits over seven innings of work.

Hudson struck out three and walked two in the game. He cruised along until the seventh inning, when the Reds strung together four hits to push across their two runs. He now sits at 2-1 on the season and lowers his ERA to 3.96. He’ll attempt to carry over the momentum from this strong outing when he squares off against the Rays in Tampa Bay on Sunday.

Tim Hudson took his first loss despite holding the Cubs to one run in seven innings on Wednesday.

With Starlin Castro getting thrown out on an inside-the-park home run attempt, Hudson faced the minimum through six innings. The Cubs finally got a run in the seventh on a single, a sac bunt, a groundout and another single. Hudson was at just 73 pitches afterwards, but the Braves didn’t bring him back out for the eighth.

Tim Hudson surrendered seven runs — six earned — in six innings Friday versus the Rockies.

Hudson gave up a double, two walks and then three singles as part of a five-run first inning. He rebounded nicely after that, but the damage to his ERA was already done. Expect a better showing Wednesday against the Cubs.

Tim Hudson picked up the win in his 2012 debut on Sunday, holding the Pirates to two runs on six hits and two walks in five innings of Atlanta’s 4-3 victory.

Hudson struck out six in his first start since last September 28. Hudson will be on a pitch count in the early going, but should be a consistent bet for seven-inning quality starts in very short order. It might be best to keep him benched for his next outing, however, where he’ll get the Rockies in Colorado on Friday.

Braves activated RHP Tim Hudson from the 15-Day disabled list.

Hudson was solid in his return to the mound, allowing two runs on six hits and two walks over five innings against the Pirates Sunday. He struck out six. Barring a late-inning implosion, that’ll be good enough to win his first start of the season. The 36-year-old right-hander could be relevant in mixed leagues soon, but he’s just a stream play until he proves consistency on the mound coming off another injury.

Tim Hudson (back) gave up one run over 5 2/3 innings Tuesday in his final minor league rehab start with Triple-A Gwinnett.

Hudson scattered six hits while striking out four and walking two. The 36-year-old right-hander originally aimed to return from back surgery at the end of April and it appears he’ll meet his goal. He’s penciled in to start Sunday against the Pirates.

Tim Hudson (back) is expected to make his season debut on April 29 or 30 against the Pirates.

Hudson pitched well in his last rehab start, and he’ll get one more, throwing 100-110 pitches, before activation. “Stuff-wise last night I felt like I was pretty close to where I want to be,” said Hudson. “I?d like to get my arm strength up a little bit. I was sitting around 89-90 [mph] most of the night. I had some 87, 88′s in there ? I don?t like seeing those too much on the radar gun. But I think after pitching more and getting some more work, working out and long-tossing, that stuff will get better.” Hudson will replace Randall Delgado in the rotation.

Tim Hudson (back) threw five innings of one-run ball Wednesday in a rehab start at Triple-A Gwinnett.

It was a marked improvement over his first couple of rehab outings. Hudson, who has been on the disabled list since the start of the regular season as he recovers from back surgery, is aiming to join the Braves’ starting rotation in late April. Randall Delgado has been filling in.
