Ted Lilly improved to 5-0 by holding the Rockies to five runs — four earned — over 6 1/3 innings Sunday.

It was Lilly’s worst outing of the season by far, but the Dodgers put up six runs in the fifth inning for him. He ended up striking out just one, walking three and giving up six hits. Lilly has now won his five decisions for the first time in his career and is sporting a 2.11 ERA. The downswing figures to continue against the Cardinals next week. Lilly hasn’t posted an ERA better than 3.52 in any of his last three seasons.

Ted Lilly allowed just a run and four hits in six innings Monday in a victory over the Giants.

Lilly had a rough first half in 2010, but he’s been flat-out awesome since last August. He’s now 4-0 with a 1.41 ERA in five starts this season. It’s something of a fluke that he’s given up just one homer so far, but he’ll likely remain strong in WHIP all season.

Ted Lilly held the Braves to just one run on three hits in seven innings of work on Wednesday, but got stuck with a no-decision thanks to Javy Guerra’s second blown save of the season.

Lilly struck out two and walked one, and threw just 79 pitches. He’s now allowed only one run while going at least six innings in each of his first three starts. He’ll bring a 0.90 ERA and 0.85 WHIP into his Monday start in Colorado. Despite his hot start, it might still be best to keep him benched at Coors Field.

Ted Lilly picked up his second consecutive win on Friday as he limited the Astros to one run on four hits in six innings of work.

Lilly struggled with his command, walking six batters and striking out five in the game. He’s looked very strong since being activated from the DL and now sits at 2-0 with a 0.63 ERA. He’ll go in search of win number three when he takes on the Braves next week.

Ted Lilly hurled seven innings of one-run ball Saturday night against the Padres.

And that one run was unearned. Lilly, who was making his 2012 regular-season debut after missing the first couple weeks with a neck injury, yielded only two hits and racked up four strikeouts against one walk. He’ll try to keep the momentum rolling next week against the Astros.

Ted Lilly (neck) is on track to be activated from the disabled list and make his season debut Saturday against the Padres.

Lilly struggled in his rehab start with High-A Rancho Cucamonga, but the Dodgers aren’t concerned about the results as long as he finishes the game healthy. Josh Lindblom is expected to be optioned in order to make room for Lilly on the roster.

Ted Lilly (neck) will begin the season on the disabled list.

Lilly made it through a bullpen session Friday without any issues, but he simply doesn’t have enough time to get stretched out for the start of the season. Dodgers’ manager Don Mattingly said the current plan is for him to throw a simulated game in Anaheim on April 2 before making a rehab start with High-A Rancho Cucamonga on April 8. If all goes well, he’ll return when the Dodgers need a fifth starter for the first time on April 15.
