Nick Swisher is back in right field Tuesday against the Rays.

Swisher was the DH in his return to the lineup Sunday, but he’s feeling healthy enough to get back in the outfield. Eduardo Nunez will make his third start of the season in left field on Tuesday night.

Nick Swisher (hamstring) is back in the Yankees’ lineup Sunday.

He’ll be in the DH slot if the game in Kansas City is played, as the area is slated for heavy rain Sunday. Swisher has missed a week of action with a tweaked left hamstring but has been hitting and evidently feels well enough to give it a go.

Nick Swisher (hamstring) hit in the batting cages Thursday.

Swisher hasn’t played since leaving Sunday’s game with a low-grade left hamstring strain. Yankees manager Joe Girardi has essentially ruled him out until Tuesday, but there’s a chance the timeline could change if he makes it through batting practice Friday with no issues.

Yankees manager Joe Girardi said Monday that Nick Swisher (hamstring) is likely to miss a week.

Swisher left Sunday’s game with a low-grade left hamstring strain. He isn’t expected back before next Tuesday, but the Yankees will attempt to get by without putting him on the disabled list. Raul Ibanez will make the start in right field Monday while Eduardo Nunez makes his first major league start in left.

Nick Swisher was diagnosed with a low-grade left hamstring strain during an MRI Sunday.

Yankees skipper Joe Girardi said Swisher will likely not require a stint on the disabled list, but that the outfielder will be out for at least a few games. Swisher was noticeably limping following a walk in the third inning Sunday and Andruw Jones replaced him in the lineup. Jones could be in line for an extra start or two this week.

Nick Swisher went 2-for-4 with a pair solo home runs in a losing effort against the Tigers on Saturday.

The Yankees offense was stifled by Drew Smyly for most of the day in this one, aside from Swisher’s solo blast in the first inning. He then turned around and took Jose Valverde deep from the left side of the plate in the ninth inning. Swisher is off to a tremendous start to the season, hitting .288 with six homers and 23 RBI already. While he may not be able to sustain the average, he’s always been a capable run producer and is a very valuable commodity to own in fantasy leagues right now.
