Diamondbacks signed 1B Mike Jacobs to a minor league contract.
Jacobs was given his release by the Rockies last August after becoming the first athlete in North American pro sports to test positive for human growth hormone. The 31-year-old has a .253/.313/.475 batting line and 100 home runs over parts of six seasons in the major leagues.
