Miguel Cabrera broke out of his slump by going 4-for-5 with a double and three RBI on Thursday.

Cabrera went 0-for-13 in the series against the Mariners that ended Wednesday and had been just 6-for-34 for the month, dropping his OPS under .800 for the season. We’re guessing he won’t see that territory again anytime soon.

Miguel Cabrera went 0-for-4 with a strikeout in Wednesday’s loss to the Mariners.

Cabrera is now just 6-for-34 (.176) in May, and in the midst of a nine-game homer-less streak. We doubt he’ll remain down for much longer, but the Tigers are headed to Oakland for a four-game series, and O.co Coliseum (yes, that’s what it’s actually called now) is not an ideal place to bust a slump. Regardless, continue to plug your first-round pick into your lineup with supreme confidence.

Miguel Cabrera went 2-for-3 with a solo homer in a losing effort to the Mariners on Tuesday.

The two hit effort raises Cabrera’s average to .308 on the season. The solo blast off of Jason Vargas in the fifth inning was Cabrera’s fifth of the season and gives him 13 RBI in the early going.

Miguel Cabrera went 2-for-4 with an RBI as the Tigers defeated the Royals 3-1 on Tuesday.

Cabrera broke out of an 0-21 slump with a single in the third inning, then jokingly asked for the ball as a keepsake. His RBI single in the eighth inning put the Tigers on top for good. He’s one of the best overall hitters in the game today, and a pure joy to watch.

Miguel Cabrera went 2-for-4 with his ninth RBI in Wednesday’s loss to the Rays.

Both hits were singles. Cabrera plated Austin Jackson with a first inning knock off of Jon Lester. Hitting .471/.565/1.059 through his first five games, Cabrera is looking every bit like fantasy’s best overall player.

Miguel Cabrera took Josh Beckett deep twice on Saturday leading the Tigers to a 10-0 thrashing of the Red Sox.

Cabrera finished the day 2-for-5 with two runs scored and three RBI. He remains one of the most talented hitters in the league and could be in line for the best season of his career with Prince Fielder protecting him in the lineup. Expect many more days like today out of the Tigers’ slugger this year.

Making his return to the lineup, Miguel Cabrera doubled twice and knocked in two runs Friday in a 6-4 win over the Orioles.

Cabrera hadn’t played since March 19 because of a fracture below his right eye, not that one would have noticed from his performance today.

Miguel Cabrera (facial fracture) will make his return to the Grapefruit League on Friday.

And he’s expected to play in all of the Tigers’ remaining spring games. Cabrera broke a bone below his right eye early last week but has made a smooth recovery and should be fully healthy for the start of the season.

Miguel Cabrera (eye) is not in the Tigers’ Grapefruit League lineup Thursday night.

Tigers’ manager Jim Leyland indicated earlier this week that Cabrera could return as soon as Thursday, but it sounds like are giving him some extra time to get ready. We fully expect him to return to the lineup this weekend and be ready come Opening Day.
