Kelly Johnson went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI in Wednesday’s 8-1 victory over the Yankees.

The performance included his eighth homer of the season. Johnson has reached base in all but four games this season, and now owns a decent .266/.364/.441 batting line.

Kelly Johnson had a two-run homer, an RBI single and a walk against the A’s on Tuesday.

Leading off seems to agree with Johnson. He’s hitting .333 with two homers and six RBI in six games since switching spots with Yunel Escobar.

Kelly Johnson went 2-for-3 with a walk as the Jays’ leadoff hitter in a second straight game Thursday.

Johnson has always hit better as a leadoff man, and since manager John Farrell moved him into that spot Wednesday, he’s gone 3-for-7 with a homer, two walks and three runs scored. It looks like he’ll probably stay there for a bit.

Kelly Johnson launched his fourth homer of the season in Monday’s win over the Royals.

It was his only hit of the night, but he also drew two walks and scored two runs. Johnson is batting just .224 in the early going, but he’s provided some power and also scored 13 runs.

Kelly Johnson hit his third home run of the season in the Blue Jays’ loss to the Orioles on Saturday.

Johnson connected on the solo blast off of Jason Hammel in the first inning. He’s off to a very strong start to the young season, batting .281 (9-for-32) with eight runs scored and five RBI.

Kelly Johnson went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI against the Phillies on Thursday.

The Jays had been batting Yunel Escobar first and Johnson second this spring, but the two were flip-flopped today. For what it’s worth, Johnson has been a whole lot more productive hitting leadoff on his career. He’s hit .263/.350/.477 in 927 at-bats there, compared to .236/.319/.410 in 893 at-bats as a No. 2 hitter.

Kelly Johnson is slated to bat second in the Blue Jays’ lineup this season.

Johnson batted sixth in 16 out of 32 starts after being acquired by the Blue Jays last August, but his fantasy value would get a nice little boost hitting in front of slugger Jose Bautista. The 30-year-old batted just .222/.304/.413 last season, but he still managed to collect 21 homers, 58 RBI and 16 stolen bases.

The Blue Jays and INF Kelly Johnson avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $6.375 million contract.

Johnson batted just .222/.304/.413 in 613 plate appearances last year, but he smashed 21 home runs while tallying 58 RBI and 16 stolen bases. He should remain a valuable fantasy second baseman this upcoming season.

Kelly Johnson has accepted arbitration from the Blue Jays.

Johnson had a shot to net a multi-year deal on the free agent market, but he’s decided to take the safe route and accept a sure raise from his $5.85 million salary from 2011. The 29-year-old batted .222/.304/.413 with 21 home runs, 58 RBI, 16 stolen bases and a .717 OPS over 613 plate appearances with the Diamondbacks and Blue Jays this past season. GM Alex Anthopoulos has indicated that even if Johnson accepted arbitration, he could still go after a second baseman since Johnson can also play the outfield. That seems unlikely, though.

According to Jon Paul Morosi of FOXSports.com, Kelly Johnson is “giving serious thought” to accepting arbitration from the Blue Jays.

Johnson, a Type B free agent, hasn’t found many promising offers elsewhere, so it would make some sense for him to accept. The 29-year-old second baseman earned $5.85 million this season while batting .222/.304/.413 with 21 home runs, 58 RBI, 16 stolen bases and a .717 OPS over 613 plate appearances.
