Jose Reyes was 4-for-5 with a run scored in Saturday’s loss to the Mets.

It was Reyes’ first four-hit game since last June 28. The big day against his former club raised his batting average from .234 to .256 on the year. Things should only get better from here.

Jose Reyes had two hits, a steal and a run scored in Sunday’s win over the Padres.

Reyes is starting to heat up. He has two hits in three of his last four games and four steals in his last six outings. It’s not a coincidence that the Marlins have now six straight games.

Jose Reyes was dropped to second in the batting order in Saturday’s game against the Diamondbacks.

The Marlins are shaking things up in an effort to jump start their struggling lineup. Emilio Bonafacio, not Reyes, is batting leadoff Saturday. Reyes is hitting just .205 (15-for-73) this season.

Jose Reyes is not in Friday’s lineup against the Diamondbacks.

Just a routine day off for Reyes, who was 1-for-12 against the Mets this week and is hitting just .205 (15-for-73) this season. Donnie Murphy will start in his place Friday and bat second while Emilio Bonifacio will slide into the leadoff spot.

Jose Reyes’ slow start continued on Thursday with an 0-for-3 performance against the Cubs.

He added two walks and his fourth steal, so the night was not a lost cause. Despite hitting safely in nine of 13 games, the high-priced shortstop is batting only .226. His .647 OPS is 110 points below is career mark during the month of April.

Jose Reyes did his part on Opening Day Wednesday, finishing 2-for-4 in his Marlins debut.

Reyes broke up Kyle Lohse’s no-hitter with a leadoff single in the seventh and also garnered a leadoff singled in the ninth. But he never reached second base, as each time Emilio Bonifacio followed with a fielder’s choice grounder.

The walk was also his first of the spring. He had been 4-for-22 this month.

Jose Reyes is still looking for his stroke this spring after going 0-for-3 on Sunday, dropping his average to .182.

Reyes is in a 1-for-14 slump, and he’s yet to attempt a steal in eight games this spring. Still, if there’s anyone in the league who should be saving it for the regular season, it’s him.

Jose Reyes went 2-for-3 with an RBI triple and a run scored in Friday’s win over the Nationals.

Reyes smoked an RBI triple to the right-center field gap off Stephen Strasburg in the third inning and eventually came home score on a single by Emilio Bonifiacio. He later singled against Chad Durbin. The new Marlins’ ballpark projects to be pretty spacious, so the speedy shortstop figures to have many more triples in his future.

Marlins signed SS Jose Reyes to a six-year, $106 million contract with a club option for 2018.

The Marlins will introduce their new shortstop with a press conference at 11:15 a.m. ET on Wednesday. Reyes, 28, compiled a .292/.341/.441 batting line and a .782 OPS over parts of nine seasons with the Mets. He should be a real game-changer at the top of the Marlins’ lineup, but concerns about his troubled hamstrings will continue to follow him throughout the life of the contract. The dynamic shortstop has appeared in 133 games or less in each of the last three seasons. Still, you can’t blame the Marlins for trying to create some buzz for the opening of their new ballpark.
