Joe Mauer went 4-for-5 with a double in Sunday’s blowout loss to the Brewers.

Mauer’s big day was a bright spot on an otherwise ugly afternoon for the 14-27 Twins. Mauer’s first four-hit game of the season leaves him with a .293/.395/.401 triple slash. Excellent, but not $184 million excellent. He’s homered just once in 147 at-bats.

Joe Mauer is not in Saturday’s lineup against the Brewers.

It’s likely just a routine day off, as Mauer is coming of a three RBI night on Friday, and the Twins don’t have the DH spot available. Drew Butera is starting at catcher with Ryan Doumit (calf) limited to pinch-hitting duties.

Joe Mauer doubled and threw three walks in Sunday’s win over the Blue Jays.

Mauer has now reached base nine times in Minnesota’s past three games, bringing his triple slash to a cool .286/.406/.387. Of course, the elephant in the room remains Mauer’s lack of power, but if you’re waiting on a home run barrage, you’ll likely be waiting in vain.

Joe Mauer is not in Monday’s lineup against the Angels.

Mauer fouled a ball of his knee on Sunday, but it’s not a major concern. He has played every game this season, so it’s probably a smart time to rest him. Ryan Doumit will catch Monday while Trevor Plouffe plays right field.

Joe Mauer went 2-for-5 with a run scored and two RBI in Wednesday’s loss to the Red Sox.

The multi-hit effort was Mauer’s fourth in six games, while the RBI were his 10th and 11th of the season. Now batting .319/.410/.403, the Mauer we know and love appears to be back following a lost 2011.

Joe Mauer went 2-for-4 and stole his second base of the season but the Twins fell to the Rays on Saturday.

The two-hit effort raises Mauer’s average to .316 (18-for-57). While the power numbers are still down, there’s no disputing that the 29-year-old catcher is one of the best overall hitters in the league when he’s healthy.

Joe Mauer went 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored Wednesday against the Phillies.

The star catcher has looked great at the plate recently, batting .406 in his last 10 games, raising his spring batting average to .340. On the downside, he has only two extra-base hits in 47 at-bats, and a 7/2 K/BB ratio.

Joe Mauer went 2-for-3 with an RBI single in Monday’s loss to the Red Sox.

Mauer also grounded into an inning-ending double play in the bottom of the first and had a rough day behind the plate working with an erratic Jason Marquis. Of course, the good news is that the 28-year-old backstop is feeling healthy this spring. Phil Mackey of 1500ESPN.com reports that Mauer is slated to play first base Wednesday, with Justin Morneau serving as the designated hitter.

Joe Mauer (leg, pneumonia) is expected to have no limitations when pitchers and catchers start workouts on Sunday.

“I’ll be doing everything,” Mauer said. “I’ll be another catcher out there running around, and that’s exciting for me. I was pretty limited all spring last year, and to get out there and run around with the guys is definitely something that I missed.” Mauer took swings in the batting cage Saturday, but said he will keep his catching workload light during the early stages of camp.
