Dustin Pedroia had a nice night at the dish, going 3-for-4 and driving home three in the Red Sox 7-5 victory over the Indians on Friday.

He’s off to another terrific start to the season, now batting .316 with five homers and 17 RBI on the season. Though he’s not always recognized as elite, he’s as consistent of an across the board performer as they come.

Dustin Pedroia connected on his fifth home run of the season, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Indians on Thursday.

Pedroia finished the night just 1-for-5, lowering his average to .303 on the season. He drilled the solo homer off of Tony Sipp in the seventh inning, cutting the Indians lead to 7-3, but it was too little, too late for the Red Sox.

Dustin Pedroia continued his hot hitting, going 1-for-4 with a pair of RBI in Tuesday’s loss to the Royals.

Pedroia walked with the bases loaded in the second inning, and then delivered an RBI single off of Danny Duffy in the fourth. He’s now hitting .309 with four homers and 13 RBI on the season, and is well on his way to another all-star season. Those who invested an early pick in Pedroia this year are getting exactly the consistency that should have been expected.

Dustin Pedroia doubled and tripled in Wednesday’s win over the Twins.

Pedroia’s two extra-base hits helped the Red Sox complete a three-game sweep. Batting .310 /.355/.535 through Boston’s first 17 games, Pedroia has laced 17 extra-base hits while driving in seven runs. He’s swiped just one base, however.

Dustin Pedroia went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer as the Red Sox were pounded by the Rangers on Tuesday.

The first inning blast off of Colby Lewis was already Pedroia’s third of the season. He’s well on his way to another 20/20 season and remains one of the finest and most consistent offensive second baseman in the game.

Dustin Pedroia went 3-for-5 with a double and a run scored in Tuesday night’s loss to the Red Sox.

As a team, the Sox struggled to get anything going against Kyle Drabek and the Jays bullpen. Pedroia is off to a nice start to the 2012 campaign and is well on his way to finishing 20/20 for the second consecutive season.

Dustin Pedroia doubled, belted a solo homer and scored a pair of runs in Monday’s win over the Blue Jays.

His longball in the sixth inning was the only offense for the Sox until they scratched together three runs in the ninth off Jays closer Sergio Santos. Pedroia is set to be an elite fantasy option at second base again in 2012.

Dustin Pedroia doubled twice and drove in three runs as the Red Sox edged the Nationals 8-7 on Tuesday.

Pedroia is batting .291 with two homers, five doubles and 10 RBI in 55 at-bats. The Red Sox have tried a number of lineups this spring, but it looks like Pedroia will hit from his usual No. 2 spot initially. It’s certainly a nice place to hit from, with Jacoby Ellsbury ahead of him and Adrian Gonzalez behind.

X-rays on Dustin Pedroia’s right forearm came back negative, and he’s expected to return to Grapefruit League action Saturday.

Pedroia was removed from Thursday’s game after being hit by a pitch, but he insisted at the time that he was fine, and tests have confirmed it. He’ll do some hitting Friday before getting back into game action the next day.

Dustin Pedroia was removed from Thursday’s spring game after getting hit on the forearm by a pitch.

Pedroia tried to talk Red Sox manager Bobby Valentine out of pulling him from the game, but Bobby V wouldn’t have it. The second baseman was diagnosed with a contusion and could be held out of action for a couple straight days as a precautionary measure. But he did not appear to be in a significant amount of pain.
