David Price got stuck with a hard-luck loss in Sunday’s 2-0 setback to the Braves, allowing two runs on six hits and three walks in seven innings of work.
Price fanned seven in falling to 6-3. His biggest mistake came in the third, where he served up a solo home run to backup Braves catcher David Ross. Price’s fifth quality start in six outings leaves him with a 2.88 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 52/18 K/BB ratio through 59 1/3 innings. He’ll get the Red Sox in Boston next weekend.
