The Rays and LHP David Price avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $4.35 million contract.
Price qualified for Super Two status, meaning he’ll have three more years of arbitration eligibility. The left-hander posted a 3.49 ERA and 1.14 WHIP in 224 1/3 innings last season, striking out 218 batters against only 63 walks. He should be a fantasy ace again in 2012.
