Aramis Ramirez went 1-for-4 with two RBI in Sunday’s loss to the Giants.

Ramirez had an RBI single in the first inning and a sacrifice fly in the sixth. He now has four RBI in his last three games and is riding a four-game hit streak. Ramirez is predictably heating up after a woeful April that saw him hit .214 with just 10 RBI in 22 games.

Aramis Ramirez went 2-for-3 with a double and drove home the Brewers lone run in their loss to the Cardinals on Friday.

Ramirez has gotten off to a rocky start as a Brewer, hitting just .211 with just eight RBI in the early going. Traditionally a very slow starter, he should be expected to pick up the pace as the weather starts to warm up.

Aramis Ramirez finally hit his first home run as a Brewer in Wednesday’s 10-inning win.

Ramirez’s two-run bomb off of Chris Capuano in the sixth provided the Brewers’ only runs of the first nine innings. He finished his night 2-for-4, which ups his triple slash from an unseemly .103/.163/.154 to .140/.191/.256. Ramirez is typically a slow starter, and should get in gear soon enough.

Aramis Ramirez is not in Thursday’s lineup.

It’s just a routine day off for Ramirez. Cesar Izturis drew the start at third base Thursday afternoon vs. the Cubs.

Aramis Ramirez grounded out twice and fanned twice in a hitless night against his former team on Wednesday.

He batted .218 in 55 spring at-bats, so this is no longer a short-term slump. On the regular season he is now batting 2-for-22 (.091), while still managing to rack up five RBI.

Aramis Ramirez remained hitless this spring by going 0-for-2 before being removed from Sunday’s game.

Ramirez, who is being counted on to replace Prince Fielder as the Brewers’ cleanup hitter, is 0-for-11 so far. Fortunately, he still has a few weeks to get it going.

Brewers signed 3B Aramis Ramirez to a three-year, $36 million contract with a mutual option for 2015.

He’ll make $6 million next season, $10 million in 2013 and $14 million in 2014 (which includes $6 million deferred) while the option has a $4 million buyout. Ramirez, 33, batted .306/.361/.510 with 26 home runs, 93 RBI and an .870 OPS over 149 games this past season with the Cubs. We’re skeptical he’ll be able to stay healthy over the life of the contract, but he was the best third baseman on the market and a far cheaper than re-signing Prince Fielder.

According to Ken Rosenthal of FoxSports.com, Aramis Ramirez will make just $6 million in 2012 with the Brewers.

Ramirez declined his portion of a $16 million mutual option for 2012 with the Cubs and looked to score a multi-year contract. From a financial standpoint, his decision looks dubious. Ramirez will make $10 million in 2013 and $14 million in 2014 with a $4 million buyout on a mutual option for 2015. In 2014, $6 million will be deferred. Even with the meager 2012 commitment to A-Ram, Milwaukee has little financial flexibility left with which to fill a handful of holes.

According to Bruce Levine of ESPNChicago.com, Aramis Ramirez’s contract with the Brewers includes a mutual option for a fourth year.

Ramirez has reportedly agreed to a three-year, $36 million contract. He turned down his part of a $16 million mutual option to become a free agent this offseason, so while he’ll see a dip in annual salary, this may have been his best and last chance to score another multi-year deal. The 33-year-old third baseman batted .306/.361/.510 with 26 home runs, 93 RBI and an .870 OPS in 149 games this past year for the Cubs.

Jon Heyman of SI.com reports that Aramis Ramirez will receive about $36 million over his three-year deal with the Brewers.

Ramirez declined his portion of a $16 million mutual option for 2012 with the Cubs and looked to score a multi-year contract as the best third baseman on the market. It appears as though he made a mistake, as he’ll make just $10 million per season for two years over what was already guaranteed to him in Chicago. Regardless, this is a good get for the Brewers. Ramirez, 33, posted a .871 OPS with 26 home runs and 93 RBI in 149 games this past year for the Cubs. If he stays healthy, he should approach those numbers with the Brewers.
