During an interview with Mark Willard of ESPN Radio 710 in Los Angeles, Andre Ethier said that his surgically-repaired right knee was an issue for two years.
“I’ve kind of dealt with this knee thing for the past two years, put it off for one off-season and then last season it just became a thing where a lot of things started multiplying and getting worse and something where I couldn’t quite get back my swing ? It was very frustrating and I learned a lot from that,” said Ethier. The 29-year-old homered just 11 times in 551 plate appearances last season, but we’re expecting his power to bounce back now that he’s healthy. He could be a nice value pick in mixed league drafts.
