Matt Garza (elbow) resumed throwing Monday.
It was Garza’s first throwing session since his season ended due to a stress reaction in his right elbow. “1st day throwing the baseball! Felt great, #keepitslow! Looking forward to day#2 #GoCubsGo,” Garza wrote on his Twitter account. The 29-year-old right-hander should be ready to go for spring training and figures to be a strong trade candidate in 2013 if he stays healthy.
