Bobby Cox told Mark Bowman of MLB.com that he’s not interested in the Blue Jays’ managerial vacancy.

Jon Paul Morosi of FOXSports.com reported Wednesday morning that the Blue Jays contacted Cox last month to gauge his interest, but the 71-year-old is quite comfortable with retirement. “I?m retired,” said Cox. “I really don?t know what else to say.” Blue Jays general manager Alex Anthopoulos reportedly wants a manager with a track record, so it was worth a shot to place a call to Cox, but he’ll have to find a fit elsewhere. However, given the talent added to the roster, it shouldn’t be a tough pitch.
