Padres activated C Nick Hundley from the 60-day disabled list.
Hundley had a nightmare 2012 campaign which culminated with surgery in late August to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee. The 29-year-old backstop still owed $3 million next season and $4 million in 2014 while his contract includes a $5 million club option for 2015. He could be a buy-low trade target this offseason.
