Brandon Beachy (elbow) threw Monday for the first time since undergoing season-ending Tommy John surgery in June.
Beachy threw from a distance of 30 feet, but he still considered it “better than nothing.” He’s scheduled to progress to 45 feet on Wednesday and is likely a few months from throwing from a mound. If all goes well, he could be an option to rejoin the Braves around the All-Star break next year.
