Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports was told by sources that it’s becoming increasingly likely that John Farrell will be the next manager of the Boston Red Sox.
Farrell was the Red Sox pitching coach under former manager Terry Francona, and is clearly their top choice for the position. Discussions between the Red Sox and Blue Jays are said to be in the advanced stage regarding the potential compensation, and a formal announcement of his hiring could come as early as next week.
