Kyle Lohse wasn’t super sharp but was good enough to win Wednesday, limiting the Giants to one run over 5 2/3 innings in the 3-1 NLCS Game 3 victory.
Lohse had to pitch out of multiple jams, as he allowed seven hits and an uncharacteristic five walks (though one of them was intentional), but he ultimately held the Giants in check. The right-hander has now allowed just four runs over his three postseason starts, posting a sparkling 1.96 ERA. He’ll be used again in Game 7 if the Cards need him. Adam Wainwright will take on Tim Lincecum in Game 4 as St. Louis tries to go up three games to one.
