Jason Isringhausen told a morning radio program Monday that he is likely to retire from baseball.
“At this point, I’m pretty sure I’m done,” said the 40-year-old right-hander. “But if some GM is dumb enough to want to sign me, I might come back for another year.” Izzy posted a 4.14 ERA and 1.38 WHIP in 50 appearances this season for the Angels, fanning 31 batters in 45 2/3 innings.
