Cardinals manager Mike Matheny announced that he won’t use Lance Lynn out of the bullpen in Friday’s decisive Game 5 against the Nationals.
Lynn would get the call in Game 1 of the NLCS should the Cardinals survive and advance. It’s a difficult stance to completely rule Lynn out of Game 5, but it also shows what type of confidence Matheny has in Adam Wainwright and the rest of the Cardinals bullpen.
