Ryan Vogelsong only lasted five innings Tuesday but limited the damage to one run in a 3-2 extra innings win over the Reds in Game 3 of the NLDS.
He gave up three hits and three walks while striking out five. Vogelsong labored in the first inning and had a couple walks in the third, but, all things considered, the Giants have to be pretty pleased with his outing. San Francisco’s bullpen was fantastic behind him, tossing five scoreless inning while surrendering just one hit. The Giants will hand the ball to Barry Zito Wednesday in another elimination game.
