Buster Posey scored the winning run on a Scott Rolen error in the 10th inning Tuesday to keep the Giants alive in the NLDS against the Reds.
Posey led off the 10th with a single and advanced to second on a single by Hunter Pence. Then the Reds’ defense let them down. After Jonathan Broxton rebounded with back-to-back strikeouts, Ryan Hanigan had a passed ball and Rolen bobbled and in-between hop and was unable to throw Joaquin Arias out, allowing Posey to cross the plate. The Giants survive to fight another day despite getting only three singles and striking out 16 times in 10 innings.
