Yankees manager Joe Girardi indicated Tuesday that he’s considering moving Alex Rodriguez down in the batting order.
A-Rod, who has batted either third or fourth in all but one of his starts this year, is 1-for-9 with five strikeouts in the first two games of the ALDS and has just one home run over his last 24 games dating back to the regular season. Girardi didn’t mention Rodriguez by name when asked about the lineup but said he would “do whatever it takes to win this three-game series.”
