Dan Haren pitched six innings and allowed two runs Saturday in a victory over the White Sox.
The Angels climbed to within 2 1/2 games of the A’s with the victory, while the White Sox had their lead over the Tigers in the AL Central drop to just a half-game. Haren has now won four out of his last five starts. He’s not working deep into games — he’s pitched seven full innings just since the beginning of June — but he’s giving the Angels a chance to win every time out.
