Jon Lester notched a quality start but picked up a loss Sunday, allowing three runs over seven inning in a loss to the Blue Jays.
Lester cruised through the first six innings but ran into trouble in the seventh, allowing an RBI single and a two-run homer. He struck out seven on the day while giving up just four hits and one walk. He’ll take a 4.98 ERA and 1.38 WHIP into next weekend’s start against the Orioles.
