Hiroki Kuroda gave up four runs over six innings but punched out 10 batters in Sunday’s 6-4 win over the Rays.
Kuroda recorded his first six outs and seven of his eight on punchouts. He got a little unlucky in the sixth, as a bad-bounce grounder scored a pair of runs. Kuroda has now pitched at least six innings in all 13 second half starts and boasts a 2.98 ERA since the break. He’ll get the A’s next.
