Ubaldo Jimenez (Indians)

8/26/12 4:00 pm

Ubaldo Jimenez was mediocre in Sunday’s loss to the Yankees, allowing three runs on eight hits in five innings of work.

Jimenez struck out four and issued only one free pass, but required 100 pitches to record his 15 outs. He allowed all three runs in the second inning. Cleveland’s would-be ace is now 9-13 on the year, and has turned in just two quality starts in nine outings since the All-Star break. He’ll have his hands full on Friday, where he’ll get the Rangers at home. Keep him benched for that one.
