Tommy Hanson gave up five runs — four earned — in 4 1/3 innings Thursday in a loss to the Giants.
Hanson took his first loss in seven starts, as his recently ample run support dried up tonight. With three more bases on balls, he’s walked 59 in 137 innings for the season. That’s three more batters more than he walked in 202 2/3 innings in 2010. Last year, he walked 46 in 130 innings. While he’s still been pretty good at times, Hanson isn’t the same pitcher he was before his shoulder woes.
