Andrelton Simmons (finger) still hasn’t been cleared for baseball activities.
Simmons is now six weeks removed from breaking his right pinkie finger. He’s making progress, but his return could be pushed back to mid-September. “We?re progressing but slowly,” said Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez. “They?ve (X-rayed) it every 6-7 days and it’s healing. We want to make sure it doesn?t take a step backwards if we push him too hard. But I think you?re seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.”
