X-rays taken Sunday afternoon on Alex Rodriguez’s injured left hand showed steady healing.
“Everything is as scheduled,” said A-Rod. “We talked about four to six weeks at the beginning, and I think Tuesday is the four-week mark. We’re right on schedule.” The veteran third baseman should be ready around early September if his current rate of progress continues. He was batting .276/.358/.449 with 15 homers and 44 RBI.
