Marlins manager Ozzie Guillen confirmed that Emilio Bonifacio (thumb) will be used exclusively in centerfield when he returns from the disabled list.
Bonifacio will move back to the outfield instead of second base for the remainder of the season. The Marlins believe the change of position will lessen his chances of re-injury, but the reality is that they need him to replace their current platoon of Bryan Petersen and Austin Kearns.
