Tommy Hanson turned in a strong performance in his return from the DL on Friday, allowing three runs on seven hits over 6 2/3 innings.
Hanson punched out five while walking two in the game. He cruised along until the sixth inning until Andre Ethier got the Dodgers on the board with a two-run blast. Shane Victorino added an RBI double in the seventh to complete the damage against him. The 25-year-old right-hander has dealt with several injuries this season, but has more than enough talent to be a mixed league asset for the remainder of the season. He’ll look to carry over the momentum from this outing when he takes on the Nationals in Washington on Wednesday.
