Orioles manager Buck Showalter said Jason Hammel’s (knee) arm was “cranky” following a bullpen session Thursday.
Hammel felt fine the first time he threw from the mound, but it didn’t go so well the second time. He would have been cleared to throw a simulated game if Thursday’s session went well, but that seems unlikely now. It doesn’t seem like more than a minor setback, though. Hammel is expected to rejoin the Orioles’ rotation sometime next month.
