Chase Headley was the lone bright spot in the Padres’ lineup, going 2-for-4 in Thursday’s shutout loss to Kris Medlen and the Braves.
On a night where the San Diego offense could only muster five total hits, Headley still managed a multi-hit effort. He’s been sizzling since the All-Star break, now batting .294 (37-for-126) with 11 homers and 31 RBI over 33 games. The 28-year-old third-sacker is enjoying a tremendous breakout season.
