Huston Street was diagnosed with a left calf injury.
Street suffered the injury while trying to cover first base on the final play of Friday’s game. More should be known Saturday, but it sounds like he’s headed for the disabled list. “We got some ice on it,” said Padres manager Bud Black. “We don’t know the significance of it. As always, we’ll see how it sets up overnight. But my early premonition is that it’s going to put him out for a while. Hopefully I’m wrong.” Those in need of saves should pick up Dale Thayer or Luke Gregerson.
