Gavin Floyd (White Sox)

8/10/12 11:06 pm

Gavin Floyd turned in a quality start in a no-decision against the Athletics on Friday, allowing three runs on seven hits over his six innings.

Floyd racked up five strikeouts while walking three on the evening. Josh Reddick drove home a run with a groundball in the first inning, then Brandon Moss blasted a two-run shot in the second to complete the damage against him. Floyd continues to be inconsistent, posting an 8-9 record and 4.43 ERA over 21 starts this season. He’ll attempt to carry over the momentum from this strong outing when he squares off against the Blue Jays in Toronto on Wednesday.
