Jonny Gomes went 2-for-5 with a homer and drove in two runs in Oakland’s 10-4 victory against the Angels Tuesday.
Gomes has been your prototypical useful deep AL-only starter this year. While he doesn’t garner big at-bats, he produces offensively in the capacity that he’s capable. Now hitting .256/.372/.468 with 12 homers and 32 RBI in limited playing time, Gomes has again proved to be a productive and powerful force when facing left-handed pitching.
