Johnny Cueto allowed three runs on six hits and no walks over seven innings in Tuesday’s 3-1 loss to the Brewers.
He struck out nine. Cueto allowed a two-run homer to Aramis Ramirez in the first inning and settled down greatly from there. Unfortunately for him, Mike Fiers was lights-out throughout the game and Cueto dropped to 14-6. It was the first time he’s lost since July 3. He’d won five straight starts since that date.
