Garrett Richards left his start with Triple-A Salt Lake Monday after three innings due to left knee soreness.
Richards tweaked the knee when running to cover first base. He was feeling better after the game, but tests will be performed before an official diagnosis is provided. “When a pitcher has to come out of game, obviously there’s a concern, but we’ll wait until we get some more information to see exactly what’s going on,” Angels manager Mike Scioscia said.
