Eric Chavez continued to swing a hot bat in Tuesday’s loss to the Tigers, going 2-for-4 with a homer, two runs scored and two RBI.
The 34-year-old third baseman is doing a nice job picking up the slack in the absence of Alex Rodriguez. He’s now hitting .280 with 11 homers and 26 RBI in 186 at-bats, including three bombs in his last six starts. In deeper leagues, he’s worthy of a look as a corner infield option until A-Rod is able to return.
