Danny Espinosa went 2-for-5 with a home run, three RBI and a game-winning infield RBI single in the 12th inning to help Washington beat Houston 3-2.
Espinosa was all the offense the Nationals needed tonight. His two-run shot in the second evened the score at 2-2. The teams didn’t score again until the 12th inning, when Espinosa drove in the winning run. Espinosa has been great since the All-Star break, raising his slash line from .232/.309/.374 to .243/.310/.398. If he’s languishing on the wire in your mixed league, pick him up immediately.
