Daniel Murphy went 2-for-5 and launched a solo homer in Tuesday’s loss to the Marlins.
Murphy’s fifth inning blast off Wade LeBlanc finally got the Mets on the scoreboard, but they were unable to overcome an early 4-0 deficit. He’s quietly having a very productive season, hitting .305 with four homers, 49 RBI and seven stolen bases. As long as he’s hitting near the top of the lineup, he maintains plenty of value as a second sacker or middle infielder in deeper mixed formats.
