Matt Garza (triceps) is out indefinitely with a stress reaction in his right elbow.
Garza will be placed on the 15-day disabled list, but hasn’t been ruled out for the season. It’s not clear if he’s undergone an MRI yet, but we’ll know more about the timeline for his return once the Cubs update his status. Garza’s replacement in the starting rotation remains to be seen. Casey Coleman is not expected to be recalled after pitching six innings Sunday for Triple-A Iowa.
