Freddy Garcia held the Mariners to two runs on five hits in five innings Sunday, improving to 5-5 in New York’s 6-2 win.
He struck out four and walked two. Garcia has completed six innings of work just three times in seven starts since rejoining the Yankees rotation, but has allowed more than three runs only once. His job is secure. He’ll bring a 5.00 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 56/19 K/BB ratio into his Friday start in Toronto.
