Jonathan Sanchez’s miserable 2012 season continued on Friday as he allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits and three walks in just three innings of work.
He needed 67 pitches to battle through three innings, and had extreme difficulty locating the strike zone in doing so. With the poor outing, he falls to 1-9 on the season and now sports an unthinkable 8.07 ERA. Even with as bad as the Rockies rotation has been, they would be wise to find an alternative option as opposed to sending him out there against the Dodgers in Los Angeles next week.
