Angels manager Mike Scioscia said the team won’t know for another week or so how long Scott Downs (shoulder) will be sidelined.
He’ll be re-evaluated at that time after being placed on the disabled list earlier this week with a strained shoulder. Downs expressed hope when the move was made that he would only miss the minimum time, but clearly an extended absence is possible.
