Matt Harrison pitched a solid game in Friday’s win over the Royals, allowing two runs on eight hits over 6 2/3 innings.
Harrison walked three and struck out three on the evening. He allowed a run to score on a double play groundout in the second inning, then shut the Royals down until an RBI single from Alcides Escobar in the seventh. The 26-year-old lefty continues to build on his success from last season, as he’s now 13-6 with a 3.17 ERA through 21 starts this year. He’ll look for win number 14 when he takes on the Red Sox in Boston on Wednesday.
