A.J. Ellis went 3-for-3 with two homers and three RBI in the win over the Cubs on Friday.
As expected, Ellis’ power production fell off after his big May. Still, he’s now up to 10 homers for the season after his outburst tonight. That’s two better than his minor league career high and six more than he hit between the minors and majors last year. He’s been one of the NL’s most pleasant surprises this year.
