Making his Mariners debut against his former team, Eric Thames hit a two-run homer in Wednesday’s loss to the Blue Jays.
Appearing in his first major-league game since May 28, Thames took Carlos Villanueva deep in the fifth. The home run was his fourth in 151 at-bats this season. Thames should get plenty of playing time for the Mariners, but shouldn’t be anything to call home about in AL-only leagues in pitcher-friendly Seattle.
