Dave Cameron of Fangraphs.com reports that the Mariners are “trying hard” to trade for Brandon Belt.
It’s worth a shot, as Belt has been unable to win over Giants manager Bruce Bochy to this point and could conceivably be available. The Giants have interest in Brandon League, who reportedly is on the move, but the M’s would have to give up more than that to land Belt.
